Branded product videos

Project: Le Clos/Chateau Margaux VNR
Client: Impact Porter Novelli (part of BBDO Group)/ MMI
Location: Bordeaux, France/Dubai, UAE
Key deliverables: Branded video news release

When the exclusive wine merchant Le Clos planned to unveil the most expensive bottle of wine ever retailed – a giant “Balthazar” from the classic Chateau Margaux vineyard in France’s Bordeaux region – they wanted to announce it via video. We were commissioned by the marketing agency managing the campaign for MMI, Le Clos’ parent company.

The project involved travelling to Bordeaux during the grape harvest to film in the vineyard and the cellars, followed by time spent filming with the vintners who packed the Balthazar bottle for auction. Back in Dubai, we filmed the auction where one bottle sold for $195,000. We then created a video news release for global distribution that included a script, shortlist, and editing instructions. The content ran on Reuters TV and was shown by numerous broadcasters worldwide.

Social media films

Project: Emirates Vintage Collection

Emirates Airline chose us to create an engaging short film to be used as part of a larger social media campaign, promoting their high-quality vintage collection in First and Business Class. We filmed on board, capturing interviews, as well as footage of the sommelier sharing the wines’ unique product qualities. One of the client’s main priorities was timeliness; therefore, after landing in Paris, we reviewed and edited the footage immediately so we could deliver the final film on the same day.

Animation & Motion Graphics

Project: Ras Markaz Oil Storage Terminal
Clients: Instinctif Partners/ OTTCO
Location: Ras Markaz/Muscat, Oman
Deliverables: Promotional film for investors and online

The business communications consultancy Instinctif Partners, commissioned us to produce a film for their client the Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO). OTTCO was planning a huge oil storage terminal on the south coast of Oman to attract tankers worldwide, so we needed to demonstrate how the terminal would look and operate, plus why it was a perfect location for global oil companies.

The challenge was that the site was still virtually untouched. To overcome the problem, we shot some videos on-site, plus hundreds of still images that we used to create spectacular high-quality animations. These animations effectively explained the storage plan, the connections to offshore tankers and the plant’s ability to pump and receive supplies. We also filmed additional footage for in Oman’s capital, Muscat, and off the coast before combining the video and animations into a short and powerful film promoting this ambitious scheme to investors.
